I guess March is the month where I finally start blogging. I was suppose to start this in February but I procrastinated as usual. Since I’m not taking any classes my last semester of college, I wanted to try something new and take a shot at documenting snippets of my life. Anyways less about the blog itself, let’s talk about March!
I spent the first half of March back at in Cali catching up with endless doctors appointments, spending time with parents, and countless hours of Netflix. Most of my time was spent inside my house and was dedicated towards watching random action movies on Netflix or lifestyle vlogs on YouTube.

I’ve been really enjoying watching Daniel Simmons on YouTube. His vlogs are always so calming and aesthetic, a perfect blend of his daily life and fashion. A lot of my interests these days align with what his channel exposes about his life. With post grad apartment hunting starting in a couple months, I’ve been looking more into how people design their apartment spaces and Daniel’s apartment decor always seems to do it for me.

As always, I took my mandatory visit to Valley Fair / Santana Row. I enjoy seeing the never ending renovations to the mall and the scenery of Santana Row. The weather that day was nice and sunny and I soaked in enough sunshine for the rest of the week (which was good since it rained for a week straight right after). I found more Instagram worthy walls at Santana Row and stopped by Blue Bottle Coffee to admire a mug that I wanted but couldn’t justify buying (no photo unfortunately).

But I did manage to justify buying this checkered sweater from Zara. I really liked the different shades of blue and that it was collared. Since it isn’t very thick, it can be easily worn in the spring and pairs well with black smart trousers (my favorite pair is from Bershka).
My sister made a surprise visit back home from college. Since I usually don’t spend too much time with her, we decided to go visit Lele Cake (a newish cafe) and Ramen Nagi. This was the first time I’ve been to the one in Valley Fair.

I was lucky enough to experience the mass power outage in the Bay Area during my last two days at home. Many people didn’t have power for at least 2 days. As a result, local cafes and libraries were packed with people trying to charge their phones/laptops or for the Wi-Fi. My family used a bunch of candles and glow sticks for light at night. It felt like I was involuntarily living in a haunted house. Peep my amazing candlelit dinner ๐.

But obviously the power outage didn’t stop me from getting boba.

My daily life back in Pittsburgh is relatively slow paced, most of the time being spent at home or some form of exercise. As usual, my time at home is spent watching Netflix or Youtube.

I really enjoyed watching The Night Agent, binge watching it in 2 days ๐. The show is a fast paced action TV series about a FBI agent receiving a call that plunges him into a conspiracy plot.
The biggest difference in my daily routine in Pittsburgh compared to Cali is the amount of effort I put into incorporating physical exercise into my life. I go on walks much more frequently in Pittsburgh since I don’t have a car or access to the CMU bus pass this semester.

I like walking as a way to clear my mind of any stress and as dedicated time towards slowing down and appreciating the world around me. I often listen to music or podcasts during my walk. Recently, I’ve been listening to a lot of Kota the Friend. Great vibes!
I also really got into bouldering this semester. I’ve never been fond of traditional gyms so going to the climbing gym has been an important form of physical exercise for me. I like bouldering because of its puzzle like nature. There are multiple ways to complete any climb and the process of trial and error is fun, especially with friends. Its been about 2 months since I started bouldering and I’d say I’m happy with my progress.

^ some pics of me and my friend Justin.
Occasionally, I’ll travel further from my apartment to go new shops or cafes. I went to a cool store that sold handmade workshop items like repurposed vintage camera lights. Very expensive though.

That’s it for March! Thanks for reading and see you guys in April ๐!
